Those days..
Once you enter(limited scope but relatively easy for educated)
You are set up for life ...if it is a bank or govt job..
Few takers for pvt..since not many major companies locally
While in service ...with experience you behin to thing you are powerful and well known.
The days after you retire(very few resign)
A sense of emptiness helplessness prevails.
You feel neglected and reflect this on the wife. Some get solace from friends . Others develop new Connections at the park or at the beach.
By and by in your lonely moments you start reflecting on the whys of life....karma birth death and sundry similar topics on which you scarcely had time in your career years.
Some (with wives) start pilgrimages
Few try their hand at writing
Most indulge in things forbidden so far by age finance and other compulsions
Some go on a learning spree...Vedas gita Slokas
More years roll past 60 70
Some celebrate...modestly or grandly depending upon finance and status (widowerhood)
80 to ---- Yet to experience.
